Stage 1 here as well, the service dept advised that if I were to go with the (cone) version, I would definitely need the calibration done, however these are closer to stock set up and for most it's plug and play. He said Install it and if your running lean bring it in for a clean up. So far it's running sweet.

Thanks guys..

Hmmm. I would have to disagree with that serviceman's statement. I have the Agitator air cleaner with the highflow K&N element and I'll tell ya, there is night and day in the flow compared to even my stage I air cleaner...much less going from stock to this Agitator cleaner.

Another thing you will notice is more noise coming out through the air cleaner because it is so open. Noise from the throttle body-injectors-fuel system primarily. These sounds were always there, you just couldn't hear them before because of the restrictive nature of the stock air cleaner.

^^^Agree^^^

If the dealer agreed to adjust...I'd take them up on it.

Ok back when I had a Dyna I ran an open filter like that for awhile but it seemed to collect bugs and road debri in the pleats.I got tired of cleaning them out so I switched to a round full cover. Does anyone think the fairing and or lowers would keep the rocks and bugs out of it? from what I see in the pictures it looks like it might.
