I thought about buying these last week, but when I got home from work, I noticed a rock had takened out my headlight. Damn strange, first time that's ever happened in over 50 years of riding. Then yesterday I lost a passing lamp to another rock. I'm glad I didn't spend 400 bux on LED lights. I ride 50 miles to and from work every day. There's a lot of highway construction work going on around here on all the freeways.

Hey, who's calling my FLHX light set-up an azz...??

I say it resembles some form of alien vehicle, but safety pays...

The fact that the Daymaker (not sure about the Truclite) on the FLHT models projects a flat beam (as well as the spots do) and I ride in the twisties of the hill couuntry a lot at night, I went back to the stock lens' for all 3 and my trusty Sylvania UltraStar bulbs in all 3 (been running these for years.. just wanted to be like everyone else I guess with LEDs). People can't stand riding in front of me at night. Granted they're not LEDs and don't light up the night like LEDs do, but certainly a HUGE difference from that stock crap that comes on these bikes and I can see around the twisties vs that DM light setup (all 3) I had on my bike projecting it's beam towards ET in the night sky when leaning into a turn..

It will fit no problem. Had the same one on my 2010 Ultra and 2012 Street Glide. And just ordered one for my 2004 Road King. And you can it it for $185 shipped from Discount Fleet Supply using forum discount code HDLED5. Ordered mine last Firday and it just arrived yesterday.

One of the best mods you can do, is to get an Osram 80/100 watt H4 bulb.
You have to mod it a tad, but after that pair it with a Kisan Pathblazer(modulator), and you will be seen.
That is what is important.

I've been told the LED's are not quite as visible in the day as are the regular headlights?

I don't ride at night any more so much as I don't see real well in the dark, but for the amount of $$$ that they get for HID light, I know that will buy a mess of bulbs?

You can put in a new bulb housing too, like a Cibie housing and a good bulb, world of difference in aim when a good reflector is used. I did it to my Ultra, huge difference at night, I originally put one in the softail when the original lamp was broken by a rock, and was amazed at how much difference there was, and that is a 5 1/4 inch headlamp.

I installed the Dual Halogen headlamp and installed a H9 (65W) bulb in the low beam socket. H11 (55W) is stock. The high beam also uses the H9 bulb.

The H9 bulb produces twice the lumens of the H11 even though it only requires 10W more power. On high beam both H9 bulbs (low and high beam)illuminate giving an amazing amount of light.

Have also changed out the passing lights from 27W to 37.5W bulbs. Installed the HD wiring kit that allows the passing lamps to be on with the high beams.

On high beam I now have two Hella H9 (65W) and two Silverstar 893 (37.5W) bulbs lighting the way. Incredible amount of light, as good or better than my cages.
