Hey guys I have had little luck with the standard maps posted on the power commnder website. My configuration may be common and thought I'd ask if anyone has already conquered the decel pop issues that has my configuration, and is willing to share their map.
I had the same problem with the canned maps from the disc I got with my PCIII. I finally just bit the bullet and put the bike on a Dyno Tuner at a stealership here in KC. The guy did a pretty good job for about $150.00. He increased my hp by a factor of 9 and the torque went up quite a bit as well (I don't have the graph in front of me so I can't remember by how much). All that as well as evening the fuel mixture very well, and I still get decel pop...although it's not nearly as noticeable as it was before. My advice: find a Dyno and operator that you like and spend the cash. It's worth it.
I just happened to call Blue Springs Harley and ask about it. I honestly thought that I would have spent less going to the Kawasaki dealer off of Santa Fe (and I am not sure that it is not cheaper) but when he quoted the price, I said I'd be right down. It took him about 45 minutes to do it and he went through, maybe, seven runs to get it right. I was happy with it. I don't remember the guy's name, but he was the service manager.
