Wouldn't trade it for e world though....... Looks great, needs a few tweaks and minor adjustments..... Bars are too far left, squeaks on the fascia, I'll take care of it tomorrow. All told about 16 hours with no help. Hardest parts were pulling wires, and installing the clutch cable.
I figured I'd have to deal with this, but I tried to be thrifty, now my trans cover has a seepage leak, it's enough to form some dripping after an hour or so run...... Any of y'all have this problem? Did you replace the gasket? Did you use sealant?
My glide only had 2500 miles, so I figured the gasket was ok, doesn't appear to leak from cable, but bottom of cover......and I tightened the bolts in sequence, and torqued. Never pulled anything off a harley and DIDN'T have it leak afterwards...... Just my curse for customizing!
Any help would be great...... Or at least a little validation!
I was able to pull the wires though the bars, but had to extend them under the fairing, my ape kit came with extension wiring and heat shrink tubing, it's really simple once you have the wiring pulled through...... A little hint, pull the throttle by wire AND the right side controls through at e same time...... Too damn crowded in there to pull at different times, and you'll probably shred the hell out of the wires doing it!
Looks great, I had 13" CS on my 05 EGC and went with 16" from HCC on my 10. The 05 must have had longer wires than they do now. Didn't have to extend any wires on the 05, just rerouted them under the radio. The wires were easier to pull on the 05 also, no TBW, and no heated grip wires.
