Default Power vision question

for those of you that use the power vision on your handle bars and have it wired from under your seat, what do you do with the cable when the screen is not actually on the bars? how do y'all keep it weather proof.

I'm in, what mount do you use to keep your PV on the bars when in use?

lol, just the mount that fuel moto sent with mine. They mentioned a tech mount on their website, not sure if this is one of those or not.

I wired mine under the tank to up to my bars. I plan on tie wrapping up in my faring after I'm satisfied with my current tune, and remove the mount from my bars. When I feel the need to use it again it will only take a few minutes to put it back on the bars.
When I ride to work I always take the PV unit off, and if there is a chance of rain I put a baggie over the plug on the bars.

I keep my PV on the bike all the time. I ran the wire under the tank and bought the mount and visor from FM. The visor allows for quick disconnect when needed. I put the end of the wire in my T Bag pocket on the fairing.

I used the tech mount with the PV Visor/clip, ran the wire under the tank and came out where the bars exit the inner fairing. When the PV is off the bike, I just leave the wire around the tech mount and kinda under the visor.

I made a mount using an accessory clamp I got from a cup or something out west. I have access to machining equipment at work so its easy peasy.

I routed the cable under the tank, and then wire tied it using ty-wraps going up the handle bar. It never comes off except for firmware upgrades, for I can monitor many signals with it while running that I deam critical. It looks like it belongs there and has people forever asking "what kind of gps is that?".
Pretty slick gadget for the $$$.

I've also ran mine the exact same way, but at work i can't see my bike where's it's parked and didn't want it to walk away. I've been throwing it in my tour pack but it's been kinda drizzly out and was worried about the exposed harness. hard to believe it doesn't have some kind of plug for it.

I mounted my on the right side of my handlebars using a custom mount. I did not want mine sticking too far away from the bars. I have 14" apes on my SG and wanted it inline with my sight. I used a 6" piece of 4" aluminum barstock. I used spacers and longer screws to mount it in front of the right switch housing outer clamps. I routered out a channel in the switch housing clamps and ran the wire inside of the bars. I had to cut and solder an extension in the wire so it would be long enough to plug in.

PM me if you want more details. As for the wire... mine has been rained on several times. Not a problem. You can use a small balloon if you want to cover the end.
