Default Engine Cuts Out '11 SG

For the past 2 weeks, I've noticed the 103 in my '11 SG randomly cuts out on acceleration, or while just cruising. Might do it once in a day or 20 times in an hour. Like it just misses a beat so the bike bucks a bit. It's done it no matter where I've gotten gas, so I doubt that it's bad fuel or water in the gas. Didn't do it much on Saturday's ride, but I went 350 miles yesterday and it happened quite a bit. Anyone experience this or have any ideas of what I can look for before heading to the dealer?

Sounds like a good time to put Dielectric Grease in the IAD or the connection behind the A/C.

How many miles do you have on your ride?

+1 But clean the contacts first. Mine was doing the same thing.

I had a similar problem recently. It can be tough to diagnose.
I replaced both O2 sensors. No good. I replaced the TMAP sensor. No good.
I finally found an open connection in the connector that plugs into the TMAP sensor. It was just barely making intermittent connection.
Check all your connectors carefully.
The electrical diagnostic manual is a huge help.

Bike has 30K miles, the last 10k with a tuner.
At 4k, it did the "no throttle" thing. At that time, I pulled the throttle body connector and cleaned the contacts and added dielectric grease. After this latest symptom last week, I pulled and reseated that connector a couple times. I'll clean and grease it again and look at the Tmap sensor and other connectors.

try disconnecting the tuner- there may be a fault in the tune values, or in the tuner itself

- or just dis and reconnecting the tuner plugs can clean up some corrosion on the pins.
some of the sensor voltages are quite low and a slight amount of corrosion ( resistance) can cause problems.

I had the same exact symptoms on my 2011 FLHX. It turned out to be a broken wire/connector to the throttle body.

I misspoke about the tuner, it was a reflash. Just got back from a ride. It cut out about 3 times in the first 5 mins, then nothing for the next hour. I even reached down and wiggled the throttle body wires as I rode, but nothing happened. Hate these intermittant issues, hard to find until they get worse sometimes. I'll be checking connectors and wires tonight. Thanks all...

Update; Friday I pulled the tank and disconnected, inspected the leads and reseated every connector I could find. I put just a very light smear of dielectric grease on the ECM connector. Didn't get into the fairing, don't know what's in there for connectors. Went for a 100 mile ride on Saturday and couldn't feel it miss a beat even once. I didn't find anything conclusive, so I may not have fixed anything. But it's a starting point.
