Default FLHR Lights Problem

So today I rode 700 miles on my 2013 road king. I had the highway lights on for safety the whole way. Two miles short of home, and in the darkest spot in georgia, I turned a corner and immediately my headlight and both highway lights went out. Everything else works (tail lights, parking lights, brake lights all good).

Any ideas?

Yeah, I'm sitting on the side of the road typing this...

Jim

I expect you've tried your high beam. Is it non-functional too? Be interested in knowing what you eventually find out.

High beam is out too. I had been using them for only the last 15 minutes of the trip.

I lost my headlights last week. the ground on the head light plug over heated and was not making contact. I crimped it a little tighter.

now you need to figure out why the fuse blew. Whether it was simply random or since you were in a turn and they went out, makes me think there is a wire shorting either in the nacelle or in the switch panel.
