I had them do my 1k mile service while the bike was in the shop for warranty replacement of a stuck open compression release. I like having them do it for warranty purposes, BUT, they won't do another.

Out of curiosity, I checked my infotainment system to see if the software was up to date, and it was not. I doubt that's part of any service interval, but it would have been a nice thing for them to do since they had the bike for almost two weeks. That got me to thinking, did they do everything else they were supposed to, or did they just run down the list and check things off? I checked the two simplest things on the checklist, and I'm feeling like neither were done. The air pressure in my suspension was at 0psi. I added 20psi and will check it later for leaks. I then checked my tire pressure, and both were off by about 10psi. If I can't have good feeling that those two items were checked, why should I trust that the rest of them were? I'm going to take the checklist and go through it myself, short of changing the fluids. From here on out, I'll be doing all of my own maintenance. It's worked for me all these year, so I don't see a reason to change now.

Doc, very good points, but you should have a polite word with them so they know they are not coming up to the mark. Could be they have a lazy tech who is cutting corners.
