Chrome fork kit install question

If you bought chrome lowers or are having them chromed doesn't matter. You don't have to disassemble the tube or do anything with the spring.
1. Take the calipers and wheel off. Leave fender on for now.
2. Use a long 6mm allen to remove the bottom bolt on each lower - drains fluid.
3. Remove fender.
4. Slide lowers down and release the top seal retaining ring/clip.
5. Slide lower up and down to the end like a slide hammer to free seal and bushing.
6. Lower comes off.
7. Remove tubes from tree.
8. Assemble using new parts.
9. Slide newly assembled back into tree.
That's the short version.

And no offense to one of the above posters but you paid 75 bucks and a car ride +waiting just for someone else to take off the final two bolts and two clip rings. You disassembled the entire front end to take it up to HD... you already did all the hard stuff man! Dang!
Next time call me and I'll swing by with a 6mm allen and a dental pick. Only charge you 5 bucks and a six pack.
