Hey everyone, A friend of mine bought a wrecked 2011 Road Glide. Frame's ok, but all the plastic needs to be replaced. I saw on ebay aftermarket inner fairings from China for $255.00, and Harley wants $583.00. Anyone have any experience with these aftermarket products? I see that you can buy inner, outer, and lower fairings. My first thought is to stay away from them. Thanks.

Well, come to think of it, some folks put lipstick on a pig.
To each their own, I guess...
That's, pretty much, NOT what he asked. Congratulations Richard.
I have no experience with the stuff from China. But I have heard a lot of people say it's good quality. If you're on a budget, it would be a cheap way to go.

My biggest concern is fitment. Usually to get around the patent a small change has to be made.

The only complaints I have ever seen was things like mounting hardware on lowers not being very good. But as far as the plastic, pretty much everyone raves.
There is a complete set of vivid black RG sheet metal on ebay right now off a 2012 RGC. I saw it yesterday under "road glide" and it had no reserve on it. Was at like $20-$30. Might be worth a look.

.... had'ta stop'n think about that for a half'a second
......... high 5, Shooter !
...... lot's of take-off inners on ebay if you're wondering about fitment.
..... no experience w/the non-OEM stuff, but there's little that's less frustrating than saving a few bucks & not having the holes line up.
