Default need your help please

i have a friend out on the road right now doing a long distance challenge to raise money for the Smoky Mountain Children's Home he is having an issue with his bike and can not find a dealer that will help Him out .. right now he is headed to the dealer in Salt lake city. to try and get the bike fixed. He's has ESP but the last 2 dealers wouldn't touch the bike and 1 kept it for a full day and charged him a 1,000 to have the same issue happen 300 miles down the road.. The Bike cuts out over the speed of 70MPH Any help will be Appreciated .Thanks in advance

Does he have a tuner of any kind installed? Any maps done to the ECM? If he has any tuner installed try removing it. He could always try removing and installing the throttle connector behind the air cleaner. Doubt this but it's worth a try.

Throttle by wire is my first guess. Or the throttle actuator. But what did they charge him 1k for??

David,
Perhaps trying some colder spark plugs may help.
Inexpensive enough and readily available.
Sometimes it can be the simple things that can bewilder us.
