Default removing battery

Just wondering how to remove plastic piece over battery,I removed the two torx screws but it is hinged, Am I doing something wrong. Thanks, BIKE IS 2011 ULTRA.

I got mine off and cut that fregin' tongue off.
Don't need it.

Nope. Just unclip the electronics from the cover, to get it out of the way, then lift the cover from the back and maneuver it around the metal tab under the front cutout.

Damn, that's almost as bad as my caddy with the battery under the back seat.
Talk about a PITA!
When I first got the car, opened the hood and scratched my head WTF!..
