I agree that I think you are suffering just as much from a poor dealer service dept. Those guys seem clueless. There are still a few bikes around with a few issues due to cheesy vendor parts but from what I've seen and heard, 99% of those that had any issues at all had them taken care of. I've never had one single problem with mine and have 3300 miles on it now.

I had a bike that returned to the selling dealer 5 times in a month for a primary leak. I called Milwaukee and they wanted to send it to a different dealer. They told me (not me tell them) that if they didn't fix it at the dealer of their choice, I was getting a new bike. The dealer got my bike, kept it a week, and assured me it was fixed. I rode it home (about 40 miles) and it leaked. I turned around, rode it back up to the dealership and handed them the keys. The owner (who was the service manager) looked under my bike, saw the leak, and said "well, I guess you're getting a new bike" and apologized that they didn't fix it. Milwaukee contacted me the next day, arranged my new bike to be delivered and even fixed the old one (finally) and let me ride it until my new one was ready. I never got shitty with them, just stated that my bike needed to be fixed, and I felt like 5 times in a month was more than enough.

I truly am sorry to hear so many are still having issues. As a lawyer, I would tell you that it really is time to start throwing the words "Lemon Law" at your dealer. Whether its a new bike or a refund, only time will tell. But start being aggressive. Best of luck no matter what!!!

Have they replaced the thermostat and filler neck with the correct part? Both of these were supplier issues and they found the parts were defective due to supplier material problems. There are to many of these bikes out there running just fine with no leaks for this to be a design problem. If a good dealer installs the correct parts and bleeds the system correctly I think your problem will be solved.

I am so glad I didn't buy a 2014 limited. I'm sure they will work this out, but I'm the type to get sour on my bike given all these issues. I feel bad for you guys, it's ridiculous that they can't fix these problems. It really does sound like it might be a weak design that requires absolute perfection to work properly. I mean they can't even fix them with the new parts it's just crazy. I would be looking for a refund under lemon law ASAP. I'm sure it will all work out but it's got to be super frustrating.

The first dealer had told me that they replaced the filler neck with the new "program" filler neck the last visit, and that they also replaced the thermostat housing. I also have the phone number of Harley's Area service rep and he knows exactly how I feel about this issue. I'm going to call the service manager at the new dealership in the morning and I'm also going to call the area service rep as well. My only problem with insisting on a new bike is that its a fact that Harley has not solved the leaking problem yet and it could possibly be the same thing all over again with a new bike.

The biggest problem is the MOCO itself , they secretly released the new bike, and the dealers are the ones that look bad, because they can't fix a bike that they have had NO training on. I know it is a simple system, but the dealers didn't know about the bike before we did, and I see that as wrong.

Remember that you do see the worst case scenarios here. There are a lot of people, myself included, with 2014 Limiteds with zero issues. I think the MoCo is almost there on resolving the two issues causing some bikes to leak. The first and most prevalent issue was the Puking. That has been put to bed with the new filler neck. The Thermostat housing leaks will be sorted and the cooling issues will be solved.

My thermostat housing started leaking at 1160 miles. The dealer replaced it 3 times before they got one that didn't leak. That was just a couple of weeks ago. I believe the thermostat housing leak is probably a pretty widespread problem. It is a slow coolant seep so I bet a lot of owners haven't even noticed there bike leaking. I first noticed mine about 24 hours after I parked it. I saw a spot about the size of a quarter on the garage floor. Attached are pics of the original and 2nd replacements.

Hmmm -- I was waiting until 2015 or 16 for a new one. Think I'll push that out to at least 2016 or 17 depending on this and entertainment system issues.
