Question Fairing Replacement

Needing to replace inner and outer fairing on 2011 FLHTC. Where are the best places for aftermarket? HD prices are WAY to high for me. Found some on eBay, just not sure of the quality. Can anyone to me who to avoid?

I think you'll find that aftermarket fairings are aimed at bikes like RKs that don't have a batwing, so may not be a direct replacement for yours. Have you tried the Classifieds here on HDF for secondhand factory ones?

Stealership, fleabay, craigslist, bike salvage yard search or the classifieds here, maybe pauls hd painted inner fairings on FB (he might have extra parts or a lead to them) other than that, I am tapped out my brother. What happened? Wreck or something? Insurance? Why do they need replaced?

Was riding behind some cars at 45mph about 2-3 car lengths behind. A 13 year old kid didn't look after the cars and decided to run (on foot) across the road in front of me. Laid down on the left side and the bike slid about 20 yds on the crash bars and scraped the outer fairing and inner fairing on the edge. Crash bar bent out of shape. No other vehicle involved and Major damage so I am going to just eat the replacement costs.

Find someone good with fiberglass and bondo may be cheaper and easier than finding a replacement.

Continue looking on ebay. Try to get an OEM fairing. Usually they will go for a $150. You will have to re-paint it though.
There's an engine guard in the classifieds now for $100 +shipping.

I think the OP was asking about the quality of aftermarket replacements seen on E-bay. I thought about them when replacing my inner fairing that was sun faded. Went to the dealer and ended uo with the OEM for almost the same price (unpainted). the price for a painted inner was outrageous.I still wonder about quality and fitment of those on flea bay.
