[quote=Bugsy;12345311]I have the retractable tether also. It seems like it's kind of on the delicate side for it's purpose. I treat it accordingly. I really didn't like the stock tether always getting caught in the seal between the lid and the pack. quote]

Where the stock cable attaches to the Tour Pak, twist the connector around 360 degrees, the cable then coils up inside the Tour Pak when closing instead of outside.

As a user of the retractable tether, I have horible visions of the tourpack top flopping over ripping off the hinges. Would anyone consider contacting the seller and putting together a group buy?

Bite the bullet and get the Ultra Brace from eglidegoodies.com and never look back.

Have you priced a replacement tourpak lid? The support is a hell of a lot cheaper.

Yessir it's quite a bit cheaper than a lid but for what it is, it's way over priced.

A bit off topic, but - the hinges do, the latches are a bit different, they click in and are released by a button on each latch with the latch on the right having a barrel key.

My bad, read too fast, thought he asked if they *work* the same, and of course the hinges do.

But I agree they look terrific, the stock metal hinges are awful.

The amazing thing to me is the horrible metal ones are stock on the CVO bikes up util 2013, I believe the premium latches are stock on the 14 CVOs now...
