Does this look stupid?
I have a 2007 Streetglide. It has a 21 inch rim, stock rake with single disc brake and Ness legs. I really like the look of extended bags and rear fender. I find myself drawn to the swept back 8 or 9 inch extension found on something like the Sinister Industries Top Shelf *** end. My question is with me not having the raked front end and a 26 or 30 inch wheel will it look stupid to put these swept type rear end bags and fender on the bike? I know it is all in my opinion but I am soliciting thoughts to see if anybody has done this before or even has pictures. I also like the Baddad bags and fender but that swept back longer extension sure looks neat. I don't like the idea of raking the front end one bit at all so that really isn't an option. Please let me know your thoughts and share a picture of a stock rake with the swept rear end if you have one. Thanks for reading my post.
It would look just fine but going with 6" bags over 4" bags will have you scraping the bags before the floor boards. Some places have started putting angles on their bags to help with this but going over steep driveway entrances the bags can still scrape...been there done that.
I can't imagine it will be too long before the ultra stretched bag fad will fade. To each his own, it's just not for me.
I do like the hint of stretch in the stock 2014 Road King/CVO bags. If you really ride, anything beyond that will scrape in the twisties.

The important question is whether or not you think it looks good. I don't care one bit for the huge front wheel/stretched bag/ape hanger look on a touring bike.
But your bike ain't my bike, so it's really not up to me what you do with it.
