Default new pipes

Just wanted to yet everyone know that I just sold my SE pipes and bought Rinehart pipes will be here next Friday. Order them though M&M great people $623.95 with shipping to my front door. would like info on how they sound Vs. SE slip-ons. Are they easy to install? I have a RT how much time can I inspect for my dealership to tune it in.

No need to retune with the Rineharts.

I just did this swap myself. They are not hard to install, but the directions were not perfectly clear either, IMHO. there are only four parts, not including the chrome covers, two mufflers and two pipes. When you tighten down the right side, the instructions say to tighten the clamp and the header bolts first, then attach the muffler and tighten down. My recommendation is to get everything on there loosly, and then tighten down from the back first, header second, and then the clamp. This will help make sure you have it on their straight.

Only other thing to note, make sure you have taken the old gaskets out, mine were hard to get out, and I thought I had them off, but didn't.

Hey Mac,

how did you cover the exhaust? getting the old gasket off, what stopped it from falling in?

hope you don't mind my dumb questions.. I just imagine a hole.. and gasket around it..and pieces falling in?

if i ever get the spare change.. I plan on doing this.. did you ever post any pictures?

I've searched but never found any.

thanks for posting the price.. is that Good?

It looks to me.. if I've got the figures right..

600.00 pipes (rounded down)
200.00 remap? PC versus HD
breather/ 150.00

so stage 1 is 1000.00 if full muffers.. maybe 800.00 with just slipon's

Had you already changed out the breather or.. left it alone with the SE slipons.

Booger and anyone else,

Do not get the normal HD download it's junk. Get the SERT so you can tune your bike to any confing. Big bore kits to Stage one air cleaners to pipes. also with the SE slip-ons and basic download my 05 ultra ran very hot, so hot that my wife complained that it burned her leg ( and it did). I took my bike back to the dealer and after talking with the owner they bought back the basic download and gave me the race tuner for 20% off and installed it for free. After RT installed no more bitching from the wife. Rineharts will be here on Friday they are a gift from my wife for my 30th B-day on sept 13th.

I have Rhinehart true duals on my RK Custom, I had the dealer put them on before I took delivery of the bike so I cant tell you anything about the install. I do know that they sound better each time I ride and the guys I ride with say that they sound sweet. I am sure you wont be disappointed.
