My Dad took and put the Reduced reach bars on his 2010 SG trike and though they didn't raise them up he said they were 100% more comfortable for him. He is 4'11 and we had to mod the leavers, brake pads shifter etc. If you knew someone who has maybe put theses on? Maybe worth a look? The part Number is 56176-08. We did get them installed with oem cables also. If I'm way off the page I apologize.
I am 6 foot and had 10" inch wild ones on my 13. I now have 13 inch Cyclesmiths on my 14 and love them they still do not reach my shoulders they are close tho.
ive been reading as many posts as possible...as always its hard to come to a conclusion...but for the most it seems most people like the apes compared to stock
I am thinking with my build my hands will be level with my shoulders??
Anyone else have that similiar posture ?
I have a set of bars for my 06 eglide. Not sure of the part number but put the grips at 1.5 in higher and 2 inches forward without changing any cables or wires. I'm 6 ft and it still was too close for me and I went with 13 inch cyclesmiths. I actually still have them and woul be willing to sell them
I put 18 inch Hillcountry custom cycle bagger bars on my 04 FLHT. My hands are exactly at shoulder height. They do not get numb and I do not get the knot in the middle of my back on long rides anymore. I'm 6'2".
I'm 5'10" and daily a 92 FLHTC...I will be going with 14" bars to keep my arms raised a bit and my posture better to accomodate a bad back from a car accident. When my hands are too low I slouch my back too often and tense up my neck for some reason as well.
I had the chance to ride a Classic with 12" HD bars around the block and it felt good
Now this is also my first Touring bike, (not first bike) so i plan to do some longer rides..unlike before from bar to bar... so many times in the past i have simply bought mods that looked good without knowing if they felt good..... I have atvs and sleds all with risers and bars up high so i do prefer that stance
