My 03 EG Classic with 27,000 miles has a 3rd gear Slam. When shifting under mild to wild shift into third, it is either loud or when accelerating hard-sounds like a backfire when it engages third. I heard comments that most models will be occasionally loud when shifting, this one is starting to concern me. Has anyone had a similar issue and is there a likely hood that it will grenade itself if continued to be driven?

 

I have a 13 RK that will be loud changing gears sometimes. Def not loud like a backfire, but it does sound like the thing is gonna explode. Sometimes it shifts quieter than a church mouse. I always thought it had something to do with the rpms of the motor and all.

And I have the Spectro 6-speed in there (75-90 I think).
