I've got the 06 Harley Davidson Screamn' Eagle performance pipes (now the SuperTrapp S E's). The pipes currently have the billeted tips on them and I was wondering if changing to a different tip (like the slash down orturn down) would change the sound of the pipes. The billeted tips seem to produce a popping sound, which I would like to change if possible.

 

doubt its the tips makin it pop...could be wrong tho

 

Yeah, the tips won't change the sound, just change the direction in which most of the sound waves will travel

 

It's not necessarily the sound, butthe volume of sound I would like to change and thoughtchanging the tips to slash down or turn down might help.
