I am installing the lock set on my king tour pak but of course there are no instructions. I got it installed and it works fine but I am not sure about how the piece in the picture is supposed to be installed. Can someone show me a pic of theirs? Just want to get it right.

 

It is just a guide. so when you close it so the lock lines up easier.
