Default 2005 Ultra problem..

So, my dad started his 2005 Ultra the other day, and I heard a new "puffing" sound. First instinct was check the exhaust, and sure enough on the rear exhaust, you feel air being pushed out where the exhaust meets the motor. Now I don't think it would crack way up at the top(usually at bracket) could this be as simple as needing an exhaust gasket?
2005 28,000 miles
Stage 1 & 2 upgrade.
Any help?

Underneath the heat shield rear cylinder there is a plug in the pipe (probably for emission equipped bike's)
this may have come out I epoxied mine in as it was loose once

I'll check that out as soon as I get home, never thought about the considering it doesn't have o2 sensor on exhaust

Unless you can see the crack or hole you have no option but to remove the pipes and take a look.

A blown head gasket will blow below the exhaust. Seen that several times. Get a long butane grill lighter and hold it lite around the area and you will likely find problem. Could be the head pipe gasket too. Can also shine flash light in area while blipping throttle and usually see smoke.
