Question Radio conversion from 2006 to 1993

I have a 1993 Classic Ultra. My Radio burned out an I now have a 2006 Harmone Kardone to put back in. I also have the 23 pin and 35 pin harness connectors to go with it. I had to wire the connectors (mostly the 23 pin), ( just the rear speaker connections on the 35). No back seat controls. I cannot seem to get it to turn on. I checked it in another bike and it works. Can anyone give me some ideas?

I think those radios have an antitheft feature that prevents them from being used in a bike with a different ESM. Might need a dealer flash of sorts to use it in a bike without a control module.

I put an 08 into a 2000 with out any problems -- just the AVC doesn't work correctly since the pick up styles are different

No anti-theft, and no flashing needed after the initial programing.
If the connector is right, and power and ground are where they need to be, unit should turn on
