Default Radio conversion from 2006 to 1993

I have a 1993 Classic Ultra. My Radio burned out an I now have a 2006 Harmone Kardone to put back in. I also have the 23 pin and 35 pin harness connectors to go with it. I had to wire the connectors (mostly the 23 pin), ( just the rear speaker connections on the 35). No back seat controls. I cannot seem to get it to turn on. I checked it in another bike and it works. Can anyone give me some ideas?

I will look in a few when I get to work but as memory serves me, there are 2 battery, 1 ignition, and 2 ground wires in that 23 pin connector. They all need to be wired for the unit to power on.

Thanks UltraNutz. If you can, will you let me know which pin the ignition lead goes into. The power and ground leads are where they should be.

Pins 10 and 20 are battery +
Pins 11 and 19 are ground
Pin 12 is accessory enable (which in non HD terms means accessory switched power)

Default One more question

I am having trouble with the right handlebar controls for the radio. All switches have been tested and are OK. I need to know what pins they connect to. The matrix diagram does seem to match. Are all three switches connected to the one C4 pin? Where does the common go? I have tried it numerous ways that don't work completely or all do the same thing.

I am getting a head ache trying different combo's and staring at the schematics.

Please help

I have found my problem. Common went to C4 and up, down, and band went to R0 thru R2 respectively. It works!

Did you make a diagram that maps the new connectors to the old?

The radio in my '96 is dead and I'd like to update.

Did you have to do anything to the physical mount to get the new one in?
