Default Hog Tunes problem

Hi gang. About a week ago I was listening to a CD and all of a sudden the volumen went from normal to something that sounds like an old a.m. radio (all treble no bass.. low volume)
This weekend I double checked the connections to my hog tunes speakers. They were secure. For grins and giggles I plugged in one of my stock speakers (glad i kept them around) and the volume worked fine. I have replaced both with the stock set and the volume is back to sounding good (as good as stock can be).

Anyone have this issue in the past? I will be calling hog tunes today.

Sounds like you blew the woofers out of the speakers some how. Only the tweeter is still playing. Very odd to happen to both of them at the same time.

I thought it would be good to post the quick and positive response I got from Hog tunes.
""Shawn

Sorry this happenned

We did have an issue with the production run your speakers were in. The issue showed up by far on Screamin Eagle bikes which use a higher power radio, but it did show up on a few "normal" bikes as well. We have this completely resolved now, and I will send a no charge replacement set to you right away

Can you please confirm your ship to address??

Once I have that confirmation, your speakers will leave that day or first thing next morning.

Since the speakers you will get have the issue resolved--please change BOTH speakers, and discard the ones you have.

I hope you can see we are good people to deal with and are anxious to get any similar issues resolved should they arise. The current production run has had ZERO failure, so I am sure this will not be a problem again.

Hope to hear from you soon

PEZ"

i can't really ask for more than that.

Shawn,
Like I said "Pez, the audio god". I installed Hog tunes in my '05 Road Glide last week and am blown away, not just with the speakers but the service too.

My right front did the same thing...was probaboly the same run Pez mentioned. Anyway, I emailed him and told him I was about to be on a road trip...he had a guy in FL FedEx me a replacement....and guess what? TWO arrived!

Pez is a straight shooter and all around good guy...and the speakers are THE HD replacements.

Gotta love an honest merchant and honest service. Good all over ya, Pez!!!

I had the same thing, sent an email, went on a trip, four days later they were here when I got home. Didn't even want the old ones back.

(Not sure of how I feel about him calling my bike NORMAL though!)

Pez WILL take care of you.

Soo glad for PEZ and his quick service. I hope I don't some of the bad run. PEZ, if you are reading, is there a way we can tell? Are there serial numbers we need to look out for?

Thanks

Chaplain Wayne
