Default Adjustable backrest mount differences

Does anyone know exactly what the differences are between the pre 09 mounts and the later ones?

I have an 09 ultra, and have been using a pre 09 mount for quite some time, it bolted right up with no issues. The only concern I ever had was the angle of the slot for the backrest. It seems to be severe and causes the backrest to put a lot of pressure on the seat (the front part of the slot).

I've been using a sundowner this whole time, but just picked up a hammock seat, and am wondering if I get a post '09 mount if that would lessen the pressure on the seat front...

make sense?

thanks

Don't know the difference in the two but on my 2014 Ultra Limited, the backrest plate does indeed push up against the seat a lot when at the desired position. Mine came with the little plastic piece that sticks on to the front of the seat slot where the bar makes contact so that helps. Also, when I'm done riding I pull the cable lever and push the backrest all the way back so it lays off the seat. Every setup I've seen looks this way as well.

The 08 takes a different mounting than the 09 does
