I bought my Road King back in October. As I was about to leave the parking lot at the dealership I realized 2 things 1) I had never ridden a Harley before and my Road King was literally twice as heavy....and 2) I NEED apes.
Finally got my bars installed last week, been too busy enjoying riding to sit down and post a picture, so here you go.
Nice steed, I have the same machine only different year. Get it out of the dirt, I dropped my on the exact same surface in Arizona (your state) on my way to Tombstone.
Nice looking bike and apes. I used to think apes were stupid, but now that I have them I love them. I based my opinion on an interview I watched of Peter Fonda when he was talking about riding Captain America during filming of Easy Rider. After the first day of filming he was unable to use his arms due to being so sore. I assumed it was the height of the apes but I believe it was him trying to ride at such slow speeds for the filming and the ill handling of that long front end. I don't have any problem when I get off my bike.
