All good advice and info but if you still need to let a pro do the check, try an INDY before the STEALER....

Why? If the dealer shop does good work isn't that a good way to go?

Check yesterday nothing, now is a P1220

This was my next step, I’d hate to drain that tank again. It was hell on a newbie the first time, and that crossover hose.

Hard to do this when it runs rough and cuts out already. Can I do this with throttle open?

It’s starting to cut out if I let up on the gas at all, did it at about 60.

The service bulletin had expired by the time I found this to be a potential problem so I had to buy and install them myself. Here is a link to the service bulletin. You can use a flashlight to check the part number to see which injectors you have. Don't know if this has anything to do with your problem but it's something to be aware of if you have an 06 touring bike.

Hate to assume, but wouldn't the police have gotten this issue taken care of while under contract with HD?

Was that a generic noid light or the HD specific noid light. I used a generic noid light and the pins messed up the contacts in the injector connectors; caused intermittent misses and sputtering. had to pull the connectors apart and tweak the contacts with a pick. Spend your money on a manual and tools instead of a mechanic, take your time and go through the troubleshooting, you will figure it out.

I rented the set from AutoZone and the GM one slipped in fine. Didn't force it or anything.

Book is on the way, just hate I've had it a week and it's already sitting.

Those are the exact same noid lights that caused my problem. I would inspect the injector connector contacts very closely, I had to remove the tank to get decent access, the harnesses are pretty short. So did you bring this bike home with the problems or did the trouble start after you started working on it.

Bike was fine until I took it on the highway to the dealership. On the way home is when it started giving me problems.

Also I removed some wires the PD left, but they were already cut, and lead to nothing in the fairing. One of the cut wires was connected to the battery though.

If you have a "rogue" hot wire shorting it could cause issues. inspect the entire electrical harness and make sure everything good, hard to tell what was left over after removing police electrical equipment.

It couldn't hurt to check the part number on your injectors against the part number on the 25 degree injectors as posted in the bulletin.
