You're talking rider, not passenger, right? Man, I'm not sure, and since I don't have my bike with me today, could be wrong, but I don't think my feet are anywhere near the pipes!
What are you riding?
Kuryakyn makes extenders, installing this kit moves your stock driver boards outward 3/4 of an inch. It doesnât sound like much, but it really makes a big difference. You donât have to hug the gas tank with your thighs to get your foot fully on the board. They also help to alleviate some of the heat build-up by allowing the hot air to get out between your leg and the bike. All bolts are stainless and the spacers are powder coated black for durability. Running Board Extenders are compatible with fairing lowers.
Note: Not compatible with Chrome Display Stand, H-D part number 99002-97.
I bought some spacers at Lowes and moved mine out 1". That may be to much for you guys that drag the boards on a regular basis, but works great for me. I felt like I could barely keep my feet on the boards before cause they were so close in. Oh, I had to get longer bolts too, of course. Lot less than the 30 dollar Kurys.
