WTF. Paid all that money for the phase 7 headlight for my 13 SG and not real happy with it. 90% of my riding is done during the day and the angle of the LED is barley visable from a cagers view unless their a good distance away. Riding at night, the light is awesome from my view on the bike. Lights up the road and the sides of the road great. THe reason I bought the phase 7 was because my stock light looked almost yellow compared to the custom dynamics led dynamics rings/turn signals I'm running up front. Don't want to adjust it up much more because the visabilaty of the road is great on the bike. It's like I only have the option to see good at night or adjust it up more so I can be seen better during the day. Ok. Thanks for letting me rant. Ride on!!!
I have the Phase 7 and Dynamic Rings on my 09 Street Glide. They may not be able to see your headlight during the day buy you can bet they see them Dynamic Ringz!
Is there a possibility your adjustment is off? I had a TL7 on my Heritage, and received several comments on how bright it was. The aux lights during the day? Not so much...
Are you sure you don't have the light sitting wrong in the bucket? Mine shines fine at short & long distance during day/night. The TL7 is tricky to get set right so be sure you have it mounted correctly. If not, and still not pleased, send it back.
Thanks for the tip Iceman24. Don't know if I'm missing something or what but it seems the light only mounts in the bucket one way. I'm going to try adjusting it up a little and see if people flick their brights at me. Thanks.
Rode last night with my new TLP7 and was amazed how bright they are. I haven't seen it at daylight yet but my Kuryakyn driving lights should take care of the day riding visibility.
I run (ran,) HID's too. But I think they look weak during the daytime, particularly from a side angle. I had a pickup truck run a stop sign and take me out earlier this year. I could see him approaching (I'm heading west bound,) and I assumed that he could see me ( he's heading north toward the intersection and has STOPSIGN,) but he ran the stop because he later claimed that he was certain there was no one on my right of way approaching the intersection. (There was a small building on the corner to block our view of each other for the last 100 feet. or so but I was seeing him coming for a good 1/4 mile and he still should have been able to see me too.) My headlights didn't grab his attention apparently. It was 5:45 in the morning out in the country on my way into work.)
