Default Dunlop Front Tire

I bought a 2013 street glide in September of 2012. Two years next month. No extended warrenty. Having cracking issues with front tire. 4000 miles on bike. Is tire covered under warrenty? Just noticed it today when cleaning bike. Thanks.

I don't know what the warranty is for that but I'd be riding it over to the dealer to find out.

That's 200 miles less than I got out of my front Dunlop. Them tires are junk. Switch to the Michelin Commander and the problems will be gone. JMO.

some of us are getting 10K or so out of the D408F.

get the cracking looked at it may indicate ozone/ sun or chemical damage ( some chemicals such as chlorine stored in a garage can eat tires.)

ask the dealer if there are any tech bulletins on your tire- I got my 408 under warranty as the 407F's were under a soft recall

No problem with my Dunlops.
Call Dunlop about the issue, see what they offer.
Then, if needed, see your Dealer - good luck!

Some of us are getting 25-30K out of the D408F... That is typical of a front.

I had the same problem and I got a replacement from Dunlop for free. They wouldn't admit to a recall but did say if it was cracking prematurely they would replace it and they did. Emailing them got me nowhere but a phone call made things happen. Dave at Dunlop was a great guy and made the process very easy for me. Check out my thread then give them a call. Good luck

It's a known issue. Yes, call Dunlap direct and they will instruct you to bring the tire to a HD dealer for inspection and replacement. You may have to pay for the remount but that's better then paying for a tire also....

OP, I am going thru the same exact issue that you are right now. I emailed Dunlop last Wednesday with no response yet. I am going to look at Scott's thread he posted a link to and I am going to call Dunlop today. My tires have 12,400 on them and are starting to dry rot and crack but they still look new. Good luck man.
