Default Lower Fairing Glove Box

So I saw somewhere on youtube that someone had turned their lower fairings into a useable glove box. The area I am talking about is the top side of the lower fairing that now has a blank in it for lack of a better term. I was going to buy these until I saw the other. Has anyone seen anything like what I am trying to explain?

Basically where THESE BAGS mount.

I replaced that blank with a key lock door I got somewhere I can't remember after all these years. Does that help?

Yep have them on my Tri, good to keep small stuff in. Has magnetic catch that holds the cover closed. Would not keep anything valuable in there. I keep extra ear plugs in one and a cleaning rag or two in the other. There is no room behind my lower panel on the right because of the coolant tank. There is room on the other but you have to remove the panel to access.

I use these bags all the time, but they are cheaper on ebay. I paid 30ish. We'll made and work great. I keep my wallet and key on thd left and my garage door opener on the right.

For pre 2014 models all they offer is the tape on bags.
I bought the after 2013 bags that go on around the door covers and adapted them to my 2008 by cutting holes for the snaps.
Worked okay.
They do also offer the locking doors but that's all I need is more keys
I was looking at these:

Anyone put these on?
Is that red circled text area a bad Mandarin to English for you don't have to drill holes so you can go back to the original snap doors if you don't like it?
It sure looks like you'd have to drill holes.
So how are they attached?
I like that they're just latches without keys.
What is it with the trend of sellers almost seemingly bragging that no instructions are included?
Anyone install these?

I'd be cautious of them. No reviews on Amazon. The only other place they show up for sale are Singapore and Jamaica.
with that said, looking at the pictures, looks like it just screws in using the existing holes on the other half of the fairing.

0h, they're all over the place on both Amazon, eBay and some other sites like HTTMT. And even if it was somehow fraudulent you get your money back on Amazon or Ebay, I've never had a problem.
I've never understood this concern.
As an eBay seller I know eBay has swung way to the side of the buyer - if you're displeased at the color of the packaging you can get your money back. There is no risk.
But anyway that's disappointing that you say they just screw into the existing holes of the other half of the "leg fairing". so you take off the outer part of that leg fairing so they don't stick out or add any more room? Damn it's kind of what I was going for - more area. They sell just the latching doors. I thought this added another couple inches.
Thanks.

I took these off of a windshield bag I couldn't use on the Tri Glide. Drilled a hole in the cover and attached them. I keep stuff like the garage remote, Chapstick , smokes (when I still smoked) and lighter.. Works pretty good for me.
