Default Need a fender width dimension

I was talking to the dealer today about a trike. I asked what the width of the fenders was as I only have a 57" opening in my shed. Would someone measure the width of their fenders and post the dimension Please? That new Sedona Orange is a real nice looking metallic color.

I think you'd be scraping paint (or close to it). I traded my 09 Tri-Glide for a Deluxe, but I seem to remember it was 56 inches across fender to fender. I ended up getting a 66 inches door for the clearance. I also marked the floor with a paint line (for the front tire) so I knew how to pull it in and not scrape.

Is your shed on a slab or is the floor wood? I had to go slab because the wood wouldn't hold the weight of a TG.

+1 on the width.

Its very difficult to measure, I come up with 54.5” at the bottom rear flare of the fender but my eye tells me that it may be wider at the top where the reflectors are and I don’t know how to get an accurate measurement at that point..

If I were you, I would call HD Customer service rather than depending up a dealer that wants to sell a trike!

Good luck,

Jim

I'll bet your real close. I know the side wall to side wall width is 53".

Thank you all for your information. It tells me I will need a bigger opening then. Have a good Holiday weekend!

Forgot this it is a 3/4 " interlocked wood floor, another strike against this shed.

Rider1200,

The TG weighs about 1174lbs ready to run, so I agree a 3/4 inch wood floor probably wouldn't support it.

What with the flooring not being strong enough to support the TG, I would never get the trike through the doorway only having 1 1/4 " on a side. Oh well I came close anyways. Thanks Jimer for finding that dimension.
