Tongue-high or low is not a desirable situation. The tongue should sit level at the hitch. The problem is the hitch has too much of a rise in it. That situation makes for a light hitch connection.

Not by choice, Rivco sent the tall hitch. I noticed on their web site I can buy a lower one, the price is $59.95 which I would guess has some gold plating somewhere for that price. I'm going to look around and see what else I can find because the more I think about it the less I like the way the trailer sits.

I believe the tongue should be as level as possible. The tongue weight should be 10% of the total weight.

I agree, I'm going to look at a couple other cartridges to see if I can find one that is priced a little more reasonable. I have a tough time not feeling like I'm being violated when paying $59.95 for a cartridge when they can be had for $20 all day long if their not marketed for a motorcycle or trike.
