Default V-Rod Shifter

I have a problem with my V-Rod shifter. When I wear boots, the space between the foot peg and the shifter is so close that the lever won't go back into its neutral place. In tennis shoes, I have enough room. Went to my HD dealer today, they have no optional shifter levers. Anyone have the same problem that they have solved this yet? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

burt,
I had almost the same issue, try adjusting the linkage to bring the shift lever up some, it worked for me although I'm considering putting on the reduced reach pegs reversed, thats supposed to give you quite a bit more room.

Yup, just as gromage said, adjust the shifter linkage and you can put it about anywhere you want it.
