Look, I don't give a flyin f'ck what ya'll wear on your heads, and I absolutely support your right to choose. Period. But don't try and convince any logical human being that a helmetless rider is a safer rider.

I bought a carbon fiber helmet from that site and itswicked light. I opted for the polo played style and my only complaint is that, speeds above 70 the visor catches the wind sometimes and slides back on your head unlike my novelty helmet that sits where you put it.

I would imagine that is because the novelty is tighter to your head and has less mass. Try tightening the chin strap on your DOT helmet and I think you will find that it does not move either.

I don't think we need laws to tell us what to do. I don't like the helmet law or the seatbelt law. That being said I always wear both.

1st let it be known that, if I can smoke&drink. I should decide to or not to wear a helmet or a seatbelt. but nobody can say they are a safer rider than I am with, helmet, jacket, gloves&boots. human hair by design is NOT impact protection. leather vest's won't protect your arms, Oh ya and every body think about your nose, it's flexable, and sticks out but it's NOT a face bumper.

Do whatcha wanna...... $2 helmets for $2 heads........I saw a guy lose everything below his nose on his head..........it was hangimg off. You can replace a bike w/ a signature. A face ?You have the right to choose but our insurance rates shouldn't go up because of preventable head trauma.

I've always worn a novelty helmet and so does pretty much everyone I ride with. My brother a few summers ago ran into a deer and went down, his novelty helmet was cracked but not his skull, so there is alittle protection with them. But if I didn't have to wear one I would be riding with nothing.
