Did anyone waych pinks tonight? A v rod against an ols suzuki. Unfortunately the v rod lost 2 of 3 and the first race the old suzuki didnt get off the line at all. sad day for us harley guys
Gunz, it might be a sad day for some, but I know my Harley isn't gonna beat some of these bikes. I just like to cruise around and make some noise[sm=badbadbad.gif]
Yea, I didn't see it but being a V-Rod owner, I certainly heard alot about it. I have seen that show (Pinks) a few times, and I think the show is stupid. Personally, I think the show is a "put on". No one in their right mind would bet their $18,000 Harley against a $4,000 (if that) Suzuki.
Anyway, if you want to see bikes drag race, check out the NHRA and Vance and Hines V-Rod kick the hell out of the Suzukis. [sm=americanasmiley.gif]
I have seen a harley get down the track, But these were stock bikes. My bike is a dyna and it isnt supposed to be fast. I was really wanting to see the harley hot rod (v rod) kick some zuki butt.
I got to thinking about this and hadn't posted in awhile. So, I'll throw my $0.02 in. The Suzuki GS1100 is (was) a darn fine motorcycle. Very strong motor and saw alot of drag racing action back in the day. Was this GS stock? Don't remember if it was mentioned in the show, however unless I was confindent in my racing technique, it would be a cold day before I'd bet my V-Rod.
Racing (drag) is 99.98% technique when it comes to closley matched bikes. Had the V-Rod owner's skills been a little sharper, the out come might have been different.
