Default 2003 vrsc

I have a 2003 VRSC just purchased in December. I have a unique issue (I think). I stopped for gas the other day and I had to wait a while before the bike would start. Last night the same thing happened but now I still can’t get it to kick over. I’m hoping I just need a new battery but I’m suspicious it’s something else like an ignition issue. Any help?

Does it sound as though it's struggling to turn over? I guess you've checked all the obvious stuff like fuses etc.

I had to change the battery on my 2004 'rod before I sold it, and it's not a fun experience!
