My G/f has an '02 V-Rod and she rode it today and felt something wet arm. Thought it was rain...nope...thought is was water nope...she stoped about 1/2 mile into the ride to check it out...She noticed a light pinkish colored fluid smelling of maple syrup on the frame...she said it smelt like it was running hot...she limped it home to the garage...she also noticed that the FAN hadn't come on at all....going to trailer it to a local INDY tomorrow but I'd like to have some insight before we go there....PLEASE HELP!

 

Check the antifreeze level and the radiator hose clamps for tightness. Let us know what you find out.

 

+1 to what eazy said. Thermostat may have gone bad...Let us know what the shop finds.

 

Yep, as was stated, the red fluid is the coolant. Might have a bad seal, ruptures hose etc. Good luck.
