Started the conversion
Well most of the parts have finally showed up and the tear down has begun. We are converting a stock B model into a Road Rod. With that we have taken the triple trees, fork lowers, handlebar risers, gauge pod, and the levers...so far. Had all them powdercoated black. Already got a set of saddle bags installed, got a set of wheels ready to go from a Night Rod, got the floorboards installed today, and most of the fairing mount kit is on and ready. Just have the fairing to paint and finish up the install for now. Once some more time and money permits we will continue with the radio, the gauges and finally the fiberglass saddlebags.
Not much to look at as of yet, more like just a big ol pile of boxes and parts but here is the extent of the teardown.

That is gonna be a mid summer project maybe next winter. this year the front end next year the back end, I was going to wait to do the fuel cell until I take the swing arm off to get powdercoated, I hate doing things more then once if I don't have to
Well got the inner fairing back from the painter and just finished getting it all installed and most of the required wiring done, still need to get things wired for a radio and all the gauges but that is not the most important stuff as getting it ready to ride seems more the to do list right now.
Here are a few more pics. It should be ready to go by the end of today and I can get it outside and take some good pics of it.

Ok well I got most of it done today, still have to get the radio and speakers, and the rest of the guages, but it is ridable now. Just got back from the maiden voyage and all I can say is WOW. This thing really impressed me. I would consider this one of the more impressive customs that I have ever ridden. Here are some pictures after I got it off the stand. The colour is a bit off in the pictures. It is done in black cherry.
