What attracted you to your V-rod?
In our case, after over 3 years of searching, our Night Rod proved to be the best cruiser for riding double. The performance I wanted, the comfort my wife wanted. Definately function. Doesn't hurt that it looks as good as it performs.

Life isn't that simple, I've always wanted a Harley, but liked the look and feel of the V-Rod. The newer V-Rods, especially the night rod are hot and powerful. If it were all about power (or better yet speed)there are other choices, but they're not HD.....

Actually, Lisa, I know a couple of people that never considered owning a motorcycle until they saw a V-rod. They didn't know anything about bikes and bought it regarless. Not that I would recomend it as a starter bike.
Oh, you can also select more than one. I knowbuying a motorcycle can be complex.

And that's why I selected the first four. Kind of screws up the poll in a way but there was a combination of things that lead to my purchase,

Aways like the look of them and the enginering. So much better than all the previous ones.

Not really. For most of us it was a combination of things. I'm just curious what things influenced us, as a group, the most.

loved the faring look of both of the night rods along with the setup of the vrod chassis radiator w/ shrouds aibox fuel tank placement etc. on the dx the 240 was nice, the 120hp motor was just a plus i guess

I rode Sport Bikes and was tired of siting on my stuff.
I had owned a Harley in the late 70's and wanted the comibnation of power, technology and history.

I'm blown away by the power, but not necessarily for the reason you think. It's not an out-of-control machine, you don't feel like you're about to be flung off the back at any point, it's all very controllable. The other selling point for me is the comfort. Good gravy, most comfortable bike I've ever ridden.
