As I previously wrote, I test rode a Muscle in July and really liked it. However, after that ride, I thought that I must have missed something. The fat tire and the extreme rake must (as many of the m/c magazines state) make for squirrely handling. And that riding position can't work for more than a few minutes.

So I scheduled a second test ride with the same dealer. If possible, I am now more impressed with the VRSCF than I had been. Oh, and I like both the handling and the bars. Those boys at the bike magazines have their priorities. Guess I don't share them.

If I end up buying a VRSCF, I'll probably want more weather protection than the Harley windshield offers. Hey, I live at 8300 feet above sea level. It gets cold here. Does anyone know of a batwing that fits? I want a fairing that I can remove for the warmer months. Both of them.

Damn, that is one fun-to-ride bike.

Update: I've had my 09 Muscle for a month now. I can't stay off it. It is such a fun bike to ride. It's got power pretty much everywhere and handles great too. It also turns a lot of heads as there aren't many around here.

The worst part about every day is walking out the garage and trying to decide which one to get on...the RKC or the Muscle.

I was driving on the I-35 off the rear side of a Muscle today. That thing is just plain cool looking. Really looks its namesake. I would change the pipes to something with better rear appearance and sound tho. The side mounted plate on it was really cool looking. That bike has a serious attitude going down the road. I dont understand those who think its ugly (perhaps ugly in a V-Max kind of way?? I luv the V-Max too tho). The tail light is great looking lit up and the integrated turn signals were cool looking and plenty bright. This would def be my V-Rod if I were to get one. Wife thinks three HD's in the garage currently is enough tho.

I have been saying all along that all I get is positive comments about my bike whether at Daytona beach or just riding around town.....no one has ever said it was ugly or it wasn't there cup of tea until I got on this forum and saw that one person has been repeated it to himself for months

I found a used Muscle about 800 miles away. The price was good, so I bought it, and rode it home over two days.

I really like the low bars, particularly without a windshield. The first day was 500 miles long at highway speeds. No problem with comfort.

Because I live on a dirt road, I ordered the European license plate mount. It should keep me and the bike cleaner. The only other planned mods are heated grips and detachable bags.

Wow, comfortable for 500 miles? That is surprising.
I've ridden one a number of times and I always thought to myself that the riding position would not be conducive to long trips.

Congratulations on a great bike!
