Sounds like you had a blast. They are cool bikes and I don't think they are ugly at all. Just not what one would expect as a "traditional" Harley....Definitely not traditional which is ok in my book....
You should get the Muscle. I have almost 7000 miles on mine already and love it! It's hard to get me off it. The bike handles like a dream in the corners. You can lay it down until the pegs hit and it won't budge even at 70-80-90 mph.

Rode a V-Rod Muscle at a *** Harley Demo Sat. I like the way the DX looks better, but that Red Muscle is growing on me I ride an 05 Road Glide and all I can say about the Muscle is Damn that bitch moves!!! Had a lot more TQ than I was lead to belive from just reading here on the Forums, Did feel a lot like a chopper at slow speeds which sorta surprised me till it dawned on me about how much rake it has Overall I really liked it and couldn't belive how damn smooth that engine is at higher RPM's but still had that V-twin feel when pulling at lower rpms in the higer gears. Put the fairing from a DX on the Muscle and it would be perfect for me!
I was at the HD Museum last night for a presentation on 40 Years of Harley Styling. Willie G talked and mentioned that the V-Rod Muscle is so popular in Europe that it is sold out.

Ok, newbie here. I bought an '09 VRSCF Muscle about two months ago. Brilliant Silver with ABS. Absolutely love it. Handling, acceleration, everything. Couldn't be happier. Glad I found this forum.
Rode a 2005 VRSC that was for sale here. Liked it but did not like bending over to ride. With a little mod's it could be a great cruising bike. Gas mileage is not that great.
