vrod question?
i ride with a bunch of guys with harleys and recently a couple of young guys started to ride with us(not that we like it,and they will be told real soon they are not welcome to ride with us,because they ride like idiots)they both have v-rods..my queastion is what would one of these bikes run in a 1/4 mile out of the factory? this kids seem to think that they can beat a guy in a race that has a honda cbr1000rr..we all laughed at them..dont get me wrong i do like the v-rods but i dont believe that they are all that fast,they just arent capable of turning rpms like these crotch rocket bikes..can someone please enlighten me on this subject..thanks

I've run mine to a 12.042 and 12.046.
No, a VRSC will not outrun a cbr1000 in a quarter mile, but I will race any crotch rocket 500+ miles and walk all over them. You can't sit on your nuts for that long.

A bone stock 06' CBR1000RR from the factory will cut a 10.1 in the 1/4, with exhaust, filter and some type of fuel managment system your gonna be in the 9's, there is NO STREET LEGAL FACTORY Harley that will touch that even with a ten foot pole!!!
