2007 Fatboy, first bike in a long while, first Harley ever, typical 45 year old[8D] getting back after in to it after kids/home loan blah blah....
Why do they seem to be run so hot.....?[&:] Done Jap bikes, owned beemers and dukes, like my bikes to be 2 cyl/4 stroke in some style or other!!! Generally happy with the bike, trying to understand what it's all about, occasionally runs funny cold and at traffic lights waiting but otherwise all good. Just seems to be this warmish, no very hot lump at idle, lots of heat wafting up at me. ShouldI be worried??
P.S. Excellent forum, most informative, not too self centered methinks..... well maybe a little

Richen the carb up, they come from the factory too lean to please the EPA. You have to 'pay the Harley tax'.
