Why do they seem to be run so hot.....?[&:] Done Jap bikes, owned beemers and dukes, like my bikes to be 2 cyl/4 stroke in some style or other!!! Generally happy with the bike, trying to understand what it's all about, occasionally runs funny cold and at traffic lights waiting but otherwise all good. Just seems to be this warmish, no very hot lump at idle, lots of heat wafting up at me. ShouldI be worried??

Richen the carb up, they come from the factory too lean to please the EPA. You have to 'pay the Harley tax'.
