Default HD Forums Community Guidelines

HD Forums Community Guidelines **PLEASE READ**

The following guidelines has been established as a guide to using this forum. Sections of this forum are actively overseen by one or more people (ie HDForums Community Team Members). This team shall be the sole judges of what does and what does not violate the following HDForums Community Guidelines. If you have a problem or a complaint direct it to them via email or PM, not to the general forums. They will then take the appropriate actions. This applies to issues with the forum in general, as well as issues with other members.

1. We ask that members keep in mind membership is a privilege, NOT a right. Vulgar language, images, memes and other offensive material including, but not limited to, sex, gender, race, nudity or pornography is not tolerated here. Do not post racial epithets or sexually explicit content in any form. At no time will insults or attacks on an individual be tolerated. Racial slurs, epithets or denigrating references to race, color, creed or sexual preference will not be tolerated. This general content rule applies to posts, avatars signatures and links within posts.

2. Political Discussion is not permitted in the technical forums. A post containing political commentary may be edited or deleted. A political thread started anywhere will be moved or locked at the Moderators discretion. No Political Avatars or Sigs are allowed.

3. The Free HDForums Classified Sections are provided to active HDF Members only To be considered an "active" HDF Member you have to have been registered for at least 5 days and have a minimum of 5 posts. If you attempt to post in the Classified Sections prior to meeting the above criteria you will receive an error message telling you that you do not have posting privileges in those sections. Selling or solicitation of ANYTHING in the general forum, by Private Message or in Chat is considered Spam and is not allowed. Anyone found posting excessive links to their websites, or suspected of "sneaky" advertising (Such as an Avatar) will be warned and will possibly lose their posting privileges. Using the name of your business as your login is prohibited unless you are a current Sponsor of HDF. If you are a business and have a product or service that would be of interest to our members, visit our Advertising / Sponsorship page to learn how you can join our team and help support our community.

4. No promotions of other related sites. There is no problem with occasionally using the name of other sites or even posting a link to a pertinent thread from another site, but repeatedly referring to other related sites is considered "SPAM" and is not allowed. Please have the decency of NOT putting links to them in your signature, profile or have a post, PM or Chat telling our members to come over to another related site. Such activity is grounds for removal from signature, and repeated offenses are grounds for being banned.

5. Do not bash our Sponsors on the open forum. Remember this is a free forum and they pay the bills. Have the decency to contact them by pm, email or telephone if you have a problem. You can also contact one of the HDForums Community Team Members if you feel that one of our sponsors is out of line.

6. There will be no Police / Law Enforcement Officers or Motorcycle Club, AKA 1%er bashing allowed on HDF. We have many Police / Law Enforcement Officers and Club Members here and we will not allow them to be subject to that kind of treatment.

7. Copyrighted material cannot be posted on HDForums. Do not post pictures that have a copyright stamp on them or bootlegged material, such as Harley Manuals which have been illegally downloaded on CD's. Any violation of this will cause the post/thread to be removed and the offending member to be warned or banned (depending on the severity of the violation).

8. Do not post fund raisers of any kind on this site. We will not be held responsible for scammers placing fake fund raisers and stealing your money so to protect everyone we do not want, will not allow or condone any fund raising on HDForums. All fund raiser threads will be removed.

While these guidelines cover most common situations, we cannot anticipate everything. Therefore, we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure our Community is not disrupted or abused in any way.

If you have any questions please contact one of the HDForums Community Team Members.
