Im looking to buy a breathable jacket. I live in South Florida, and its hot and humid. I dont want to sweat like a pig. A friend at work recommended john rocket or something like that. But he rides a rice rocket...
Any recommendations? Links and or Pics would be cool too.
My wife and I bought the orange& black HD jackets that are so common. They are lightweight yet provide protection. I later got her one of those heavier jackets with the body armor that are convertible.
I assume that your friend was referring to the Joe Rocket Phoenix. I have a version 1.0 of it, they are on 4.0 now. I'm quite pleased with it and I know each version has improvements over the last version. Here's a link to it on newenough.com. I've gotten a few things from them and have never had a problem.
If you do buy over the internet, I would try one on somewhere first.
I have the HD 3 in 1 Switchback with the body armor. Probably too heavy for South Florida. Mesh is double layered and ventillation is not real good until you're moving. It's great for Montana where it's hot during the day and cools off considerably after sundown.
Draggin Jeans has some lighter weight stuff, but I want to try on the Kevlar shirt before I'd consider buying it.
Get a mesh jacket. Harley, or other. They work great. I have the Harley grey and black mesh jacket and have used it in OK summers up to 100 degrees. Once you are moving it's like you have AC hooked up...
