Starter Problems! HELP!
Hey, I am Eddie Davis, A Harley rider for 35 plus years. I currently have a 92 FLHTCU (Ultra Classic/electriglide) with a 100" Revtech motor. It has always had a sluggish star I thought due to the higher compression engine. Well my starter clutch went out, I changed it out, all was normal for about 5 days, then on a colder morning @ 29 degrees, I went out to start it, and it would barley turn over, not even a full cycle. I put the battery on charge, after that the same thing happened. So I bought a new battery, still no good. Next I pulled the starter again, took and had it checked out, it is fine, nothing wrong. Put it and new battery back in, still the same. I pulled a plug as I do not have compression release, and the same, like it can barely turn the motor. Per the service manual, I can only see 2 things it could be, a short from the starter switch allowing part voltage to short, not givingfull voltage to the starter, or a not so good ground from the starter relay. HAS ANYBODY HAD THIS PROBLEM? Or does anyone have a idea of what I should be looking for? I tery to do all my own work, and can do most anything ( not tires). Help if you can! eddie@eddie-davis.com or post here for others that may run into this. I refuse to believe I am the only one to have this problem ever![8D]

Welcome from Bristol, England.
This area of the forum is just to introduce yourself.
For specific advice you're more likely to get help if you post questions in the thread devoted to your specific model of bike. I'm afraid I'm unable to answer your question, but hope this points you in the right direction.

It can be confusing when new, only been here a few months myself so still regard myself as a newbie. Most people are very helpful here though.
Good luck with the help and merry christmas to you and yours.
