Hello, I am new to this forum, and to HD. I just bought my first HD today - actually, I got the PO today I actually sign for it tomorrow and won't bring it home for 7 to 10 days. I got a Cobalt Blue SG. After reading this forum, I think I did ok with my mods. I got a SERT, Hooker pipes, BIG BORE (95 inch) and a few chrome bolt on's ....
I am coming from the metric (sport bikes to be exact) side of things - so this is going to be a bit different for me. My last bike was a 2005 Hayabusa that I tweaked so hard that I don't think anyone could possibly push that bike safely on the street. After I scared the living H311 out of myself, I thought it was time to slow down a bit and ride in stlye...Hence the SG!
Anyway, thought I would introduce myself and just say, Hi. Look forward to meeting everyone here and posting some picts after I bring that bad boy home!!
You picked a great forum to join. There are a bunch of friendly and knowledgeable members here. You did good man. No crappy stage I download for you. You did it right and got the SERT so that you'll have a great running bike, and the 95 kit (wow). It won't outrun your old Busa but you'll be able to keep up with your new harley friends with no problem. Make sure that when you take it in for the 1000 mile service you have them dyno it so that it will be tweaked just the way you want it.
G'day and welcome to the darkside, from downunder.Glad to hear about another convert from a Hiroshima screamer. Now it is time to sit back and enjoy, and actually watch the world go past !!
Welcome, sounds like riding the HD will allow you to slow down a little, and actually SEE what your passing! Enjoy the ride! There is alot of nice scenery, and people out there that one could easily miss in the search for Speed!
