Default Stalling

I have a 98 Fatboy 1340cc (carburetated) that keeps stalling on me. It could happen 100 ft down the road or 10 miles down the road. It has a newer battery, plugs look fine. It also happens when trying to start. Any help would be appreciated.

Weclome from NC, my Ultra Classic Tour Glide is carb and I have to run it with the chock part way out for the 1st 3 or 4 min of driving even when it is warm (also manual says to run it when starting out).Or I have tolet it warm up good before taking off or it will try and stall out on me.

What madcritter said. You also might have an ignition short or a circuit breaker goin bad. Try electrical and motor sections of the forum and Welcome from North Texas!

Welcome from Bristol, England.

This section of the forum is primarily for greeting new members. You're more likely to get assistance if you post your question in the section of the forum dedicated to your bike.

I dont have a Fatboy, but would think the most likely potential problems are flow of fuel (could be a whole variety of potential causes, even down to muck in the fuel tank or lines or carb) or electrical. But I'm certainlyno mechanic.

Good luck with resolving your problem
